It was the first day of our voyage up the Yangtze.The cruise set sail at 6.30am.We gathered on the deck at the 4th Level,excitedly taking in the scenic banks of the grand Yangtze.MC busy with her camera,the men,however were busily talking.There was a shipyard on our left,with about 8 large ships under construction.There were many workers at work.Our cruise gathered speed,and the shipyard slowly falling off from our field of vision.
八时许，停船靠岸。我们上三斗坪参观三峡大坝。
这是世界级的，难度最高的工程。不单是工程的浩大举世无双，它涉及的迁移，卫生，古迹保存等等方面的工作，更是复杂无比。但中国政府都一一克服了，库区的层层面面都得到很好的处置。
回程时，我们停在185平台，向四方远眺，也拍了不少相片。我们参观了大坝的模型，并了解它的操作。
回船时经上斗坪，买了水果，11am回船。12时许，船进入了5重提升的船坞。在这里，长江的上下游水平面落差很大，航行船只必须提升，或降落5次，才可以由一个水平到另一个水平，就像上下楼的电梯一样。
我们齊聚在四楼平台，观看船坞的操作。看过几回后，才回房休息。
下午，呆在房内看江畔风光。我们经过几个大市镇---如忠县，巴东等。
6pm，cruise 的宴会和variety show开始了。我们齊集在4楼的ballroom.
